Jim Jennings Architecture is an award-winning and internationally recognized San Francisco firm devoted to exquisitely detailed modernist design. Jim Jennings, AIA is known for an unwavering sensibility; one design critic described him as “the
quintessential Bay Area modernist” for the “coolly sensuous rigor of his work and the fact that he has never veered from a puristic standard.”
In 2008 the American Academy of Arts and Letters honored Jim with its Academy Award for Architecture, citing his unwavering modernist sensibility over four decades of practice. His buildings have been widely published (more than 150 instances of publication) and exhibited (including the internationally traveled “U.S. Design: 1975 – 2000”). A jury recently convened by the Wall Street Journal named his Visiting Artists House in Sonoma County one of the “five most influential and inspiring houses of the past decade.”
